Odontogram

The odontogram is the patient's dental map: you visually record the condition of each tooth and its treatments, open the record for one specific tooth and even generate the quote from what you marked.

Marking the condition of the teeth

1. Open the patient record and go to History → the 🦷 Odontogram card.
2. Pick a condition and click the surfaces of the tooth (click again to remove it).
3. The changes stay in the patient's clinical history.

Teeth with crown and roots

Above — or below, depending on the arch — the surface grid, the real silhouette of each tooth is drawn, with its crown and its roots. The teeth with roots checkbox in the toolbar turns it on and off; it comes on by default and is remembered per device, so each doctor can leave it however they prefer.

On the drawn tooth you see at a glance what's pending (red) and what's already resolved (blue), and the treatment plan is drawn dotted until it's marked as done. If two neighbouring teeth carry a fixed prosthesis, the bridge is drawn between them.

The printed history sheet carries them too, as thumbnails.

On the drawn tooth you mark the whole piece; surfaces are marked on the grid. If you have a surface brush selected and you touch the drawing, the system reminds you instead of marking something you didn't mean to.

Of the treatment plan, only crown, root canal and implant are drawn. The rest of the planned work shows up in the tooth's list, not on the silhouette. And removable prosthesis and crowding appear as their small symbol above the crown, not as a drawing.

One tooth's record

Click the tooth number (or right-click the tooth) to open its action menu: 🔎 Record · 🖼️ Image · 🦷 Finding · 📋 To the plan · 📝 Note.

Record opens a panel with everything about that piece, in six sections:

• 🦷 Findings and 📋 Treatments / plan
• 🧾 Quotes that include that tooth
• 📅 Appointments related to that tooth
• 🖼️ Images & X-rays — with ＋ Upload image (JPG, PNG, WebP or PDF)
• 📝 Progress notes — with ＋ Add note

That way the X-ray and the note stay tied to the tooth, not loose in the record. Close it with ✕ or the Escape key.

Front desk can consult a tooth's record, but uploading images or writing clinical notes is for the doctor or the assistant.

⚡ Generating a quote from the odontogram

On the same card, the ⚡ Generate quote from the odontogram button reads what you marked and builds the quote over those exact teeth — no more re-typing them by hand and getting the wrong piece.

1. Press the button. The system lists the teeth with caries, fracture or missing (it ignores healthy ones and ones already treated).
2. Each row comes with a suggested treatment: change it if you need to and untick anything you're not quoting today.
3. Press Create quote: the editor opens with those teeth already loaded, ready for you to review prices and save.

If a tooth shows up as "No service configured", edit that treatment in your service catalog and mark which condition it applies to (caries, fracture or missing).

Recommendation

Update the odontogram during the same visit, while you're treating: the record reflects reality and the quote comes out in seconds, with the right teeth. See Quotes & payment plans.
